Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16 she portrayed the lead part in a variety of dramas on television. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and received critical and commercial popularity. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominees featuring the divas. In the past, Alexandra has worked in several noteworthy national and international projects. This includes the British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. Also, she was on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
